In a significant advancement for the defense sector, Rohde & Schwarz has chosen ELT Group to supply electronic warfare (EW) components for the German Navy’s F124-class frigates and the Polish Navy’s new Miecznick-class multirole frigates.

This partnership is built upon ELT Group’s expertise in delivering high-quality solutions that meet Rohde & Schwarz’s rigorous technical and commercial requirements, as well as the complementary nature of both companies’ product offerings.

Rohde & Schwarz was recently awarded a contract to provide and integrate communication, radar electronic support measures, and radar countermeasure systems (C-ESM/R-ESM/R-ECM) from the R&S KORA family for three F124 Sachsen-class frigates. Additionally, the company will supply communication and radar electronic support systems (C-ESM/R-ESM) for three Miecznick-class multirole frigates. These systems are designed to enhance situational awareness, improve early warning capabilities, and bolster the self-defense mechanisms of the vessels.

ELT Group’s involvement falls within the scope of these recent EW system acquisitions by Rohde & Schwarz, contributing cutting-edge solutions for the R-ESM and R-ECM systems.

“We are building on our successful collaboration from the F126 project and look forward to a reliable partnership. ELT Group has made a valuable contribution to the established R&S KORA solution. This order marks an important milestone in the cooperation between our companies and strengthens German-Italian defense relations,” said Alexander Philipp, Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz Vertriebs-GmbH.

“We are delighted to formalize these key agreements with Rohde & Schwarz. This marks the beginning of an opportunity to further enhance our value proposition for customers, leveraging our longstanding presence in Europe. We eagerly anticipate working closely together to ensure the project’s success,” added Domitilla Benigni, CEO & COO of ELT Group.
