In a statement Russia’s Ministry of Defense said it has destroyed an Ukrainian plant in Zaporizhzhia, which used to serve the HIMARS missile systems supplied by the United States.
According to the report, the attacks were carried out on September 18 and 19.
Moscow used high-precision missiles to destroy the workshop. The statement did not mention which missiles were used or whether the HIMARS missile system was present in the workshops during the attack.
It is not clear whether the Ukrainians regularly use the HIMARS and how many of them have been deployed by them.
According to the statement by the Russian Defense Ministry, at least 70 “military and four armored vehicles” were destroyed; these were in the inventory of the Ukrainian battalion “Karbutska Sich”. Further, 14 drones of unspecified make, were destroyed; It had captured 2 Point-U missiles along with 24 missiles that were compatible with HIMARS and Alder were captured.
“Two US HARM anti-radar missiles were destroyed near Novaya Hakivka, Kherson region,” said the report.
